Debbie Irwin got her start in the entertainment industry acting in Chicago based theatre productions. After graduating from Brown University, she decided to head off to NYC to further her dream. In New York Debbie performed in many children's theatre productions and classical comedies.

After several years performing in theatre, it was time to move on to a more structured career path. Debbie honed her public relations skills working in PR department at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in NYC. She worked with the press and the public, edited the calendar of events and coordinated the special events.

While she enjoyed working for the museum, Debbie, being an independent spirit and consummate entrepreneur, wanted more. She wanted the results of her work to commensurate with her efforts. Debbie had a keen interest in finance, and decided to become a stockbroker and went to Wall Street.

She worked for Dean Witter and Smith Barney and had a very successful career. She was particularly interested in empowering women, providing advice on how to take charge of their household finances.

At the height of her stockbroker career, she traded Wall Street for Sesame Street! 3 kids and many years later, her creative juices started percolating again and she began thinking about her passion for performance.

Flipping through one of the NYC continuing education brochures, she saw a class for voice overs and thought that might be interesting. Within 5 minutes of being in the class she was hooked! That was 5 years ago and she hasn't looked back since.

Debbie is now living the dream! Everything that she accomplished in her career before becoming a voice over artist is a wonderful testament to the natural progression of life; her training as an actress, editorial and PR work at the Guggenheim and building a solid book of business as a broker have all paved the way for her to form a successful career as a freelance voice over artist.

Some of her other favorite projects include museum and city tours because she can learn so much about the topics while providing the voice over! She also loves the fun and playfulness of voicing kids books and bringing paintings to life.
